Personal Bit
The past few weeks have been a bit stressful. We have finally moved house
and very happy albeit overwhelmed that actually, moving in is the easy bit! Determining what to do with all the boxes and furniture that no longer feels they belong is more difficult, let along working out what you need to buy first (curtains, so many curtains)! With a toddler who has hit his terrible 2's at 16 months and a 5 year old trying to work out the meaning of life, its been a bit of a roller coaster.
dA things
Prior to the move we were cut off from out internet prematurely, spending a few weeks with no internet. This has meant I am drastically behind on dA, DDs and literature things, so please do keep me up to speed! Please send me some DD suggestions!
I will say two of the best contests (for theme and for submission quality) I have seen on dA concluded recently... both won by ThornyEnglishRose ! Huge thanks to BATTLEFAIRIES and Memnalar for working hard to organise them, but more importantly thank you to those who participated. Its the taking part in contests, prompts, events etc which gives dA its continued desire, so please have a go!

Critmas 2017!
Last year, we were so close to hitting 1000 critiques in 12 days, it was crazy. It was even crazy that we reached over 900, when previous years hitting 100 was a big deal. So this year, we need to smash it!
Following on from the success of last year, I am bringing back the team based game. From December 1st, there will be a launch journal where you can be randomly placed into 1 of 4 teams. Each team will have a team captain who will help you plan your tactics, build your teamwork and support those who may be struggling. The official game will start on the 24th December as always, which is when the critique period will begin for 12 days.
Those who write a minimum of 12 critiques within 12 days will qualify for a prize from the prize pool. There will also be prizes for winning team members and those who contributed the most critiques etc. Although there is a big pull on quantity, there still needs to be an element of the quality of the critique, so bear this in mind. The purpose of Critmas is to spread the joy of critique and have fun doing so!
So the is the gist of it. Why am I bringing it up so early? I need some help guys!
I need:
Prizes! Points, Amazon giftcards, funky things, features, random things- obviously much appreciated as always! Please no llama trades. An artist or few who can help create team art- banners/avatars/addons ect for the teams (team names TBC) Team Captains X 4. You need to be committed to drive your teams energy up, creating tactics and communicating to your comrades. How you do this it up to you. If you are interested in this, please drop me a note and tell me a little about you and share some ideas you have. If more than 4 people apply, I will decide on the captains.I am excited, hope you are too!
